A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Huawei and National Incubation Center Karachi (NIC Karachi) at the Huawei Cloud Summit Middle East and Africa 2022. As a part of the agreement, Huawei will play an active role in supporting and facilitating startups in Karachi through various initiatives in collaboration with NIC Karachi.
The summit, the first major offline ecosystem event of 2022 in Dubai, centered on digital transformation for organizations within the region and the importance of the adoption of Cloud Native 2.0 to achieve business excellence whilst meeting sustainability targets. A core focus of the summit was introducing Cloud Native 2.0 to business leaders from growing startup ecosystems within the region. This included various leaders from the Pakistani startup ecosystem including NIC Karachi’s Project Director, Omar Abedin and Program Manager, Syed Azfar Hussain.
