Pakistan Investor Summit celebrates National Incubation Center Karachi turning three with 13 top VC’s attending

In recent years, Pakistan has become a breeding ground for aspiring start-ups to embark on this difficult, yet rewarding journey, to become successful and firm-footed businesses. Following this, the National Incubation Center Karachi plays a crucial role in guiding them by providing them with resources, connections and mentorship.

One such service offered by NICK is the Pakistan Investor Summit, a week-long event centered around addressing the gap between investors and start-ups. The event brings together a group of remarkable Venture Capitalists eager to invest and connects them with promising start-ups.

What made this edition of Pakistan Investor Summit exceptional was that it was done in celebration of NICK turning 3 years old. And to commemorate this key milestone, the NICK team brought together its community of VC’s and start-ups. This year’s second online investor summit kicked off with a perfect start and was attended by 37 startups and 13 of Pakistan’s most prestigious VC’s and organizations.

The 13 notable VC’s and organizations that attended the event included:

Asad Jafri & Mehvish Misbah – i2i Ventures

Neil Ashman – N2 Technology

Salman Gaba & Ali Irfan – 47 Ventures

Atif Awan – Indus Valley Capital

Ather Imran – Sybrid

Talha Azher – KASB

Omar Pervez Khan – High Output Ventures

Rizwan Khan – Bold Investments

Faheem Rauf – PKF

Anita Hakani – Accelerate Prosperity

Munim Hussain – Fatima Gobi Ventures

Sidra Bano – TPL e-Ventures

Sheharyar Hyderi – Deosai Ventures

Originating from all walks of life, the 37 startups had ideas ranging from delivering fresh produce to AI based media solutions to an E-learning platform and much more. The complex blend offered a rewarding experience for the investors and founders alike.

Equipped with their learnings at NICK and the desire to make an impact, they then went on to pitch their ideas and competed to gain the approval of the VC’s. Amongst the many were Kidsway, YPay financial services, TensorMinds Private Ltd, Kwick Doctor, FruitSabzi and more. Each investor was able to meet 4-5 startups and learn more about them and engage directly with the founders.

With this, the NICK team wrapped up the virtual event, having brought together the startups in celebration of NICK turning 3.
